Reign of God Essay I have read chapter three in Reign of God in its entirety. In chapter 3, it described about God’s character and the basis of God’s kingdom. Everyone knows that the father of Jesus Christ is God. And God has relation to Jesus identifies him as God to us. So if we want to know God, we need to go to Jesus first. To summarize what is the most important statement in the Bible is â€Å" God is love. † Love is the first and the last word in the biblical portrait of God. Some people may think that love is the most difficult things to learn in our entire life. But God had already told us what love is though the bible. Love is the essence of God’s nature. Love is what it means to be God. To the english word â€Å"love† ,it covers an enormous range of meaning. We use love to describe our attitude toward everything from our favourite food, people that important to us and also things that we treasure. Nowadays, we use love and we say it with no any condition. But is there anyone can able to be uncondition to love others? Maybe yes, but I can sure about that, there are only a few amount of human in the world. However, God can. He love the world that he gave his one and only son to us. This is how God showed his love amoung us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he oved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins† (1 John 4:9-10). God’s love is very powerful and tenacious. It is powerful enough to let him forgive our sins. People often wonder how the same being can be at once a compassionate, forgiving parent and a stern judge og evildoers. Since God’s love is unconditional, so he can accept our sins and give a second chance to amend ourselves.

Greek and Christian Models of the Truth In his Philosophical Fragments, SÃ ¸ren Kierkegaard, writing under the pseudonym of Johannes Climacus, poses the question, "How far does the Truth admit of being learned?" (154). A more direct and succinct formulation of Climacus' question is "How is the Truth learned?" since his question does not concern the extent of human knowledge, which "How far" implies, but the possible modes through which one comes, or may come, to know the Truth. For Climacus, there are two possible modes of knowing, or two theories of how one comes to know the Truth: the Greek and the Christian. Both of these modes lead one not to truths, but to "the Truth"; Climacus' concern is not with those modes of knowing that yield particular truths about the world and humans, as in science, but with those modes that yield ultimate Truth, that highest and purest dream of philosophy. The central purpose of this deliberation on the two modes of knowing the Truth, according to Niels Thulstrup, is to point out "the deep essential difference between Platonism and Christianity because of the fact of the incarnation" (lxxxvii). Climacus wants to demonstrate that the Greek, Platonic, or Socratic mode of knowing the Truth contradicts the Christian mode of knowing the truth. Many theologians and philosophers hold that Climacus succeeds in his demonstration and therefore extol the genius of Kierkegaard. My reading of Climacus' "Project of Thought" is also that he succeeds, but that his success is a fundamental failure. For even though Climacus indicates an essential difference between the Greek mode of knowing the Truth and the Christian, he does not fully recognize that his whole thought-project is itself Greek, and that it puts a q... ... method does more, however, than simply put a question to Christianity which it does not and cannot answer: By generating an answer from a misreading of Christian revelation, Climacus distorts the nature of Christianity and Christian revelation. Naked Economics

The Power of Markets Meandering introduction to markets, utility, market price, etc. Lots of bald statements and glib stories with no evidence or references. 2: Incentive Matter More stories, this time about incentives. Why they matter and why it is hard to fix markets that have bad outcomes because of bad incentive structures. He repeats Steven Levity's story about real estate brokers. On p. 33 (bottom) â€Å"Economics teaches us how to get incentive right. † but the whole chapter is stories about how attempts to change incentives have failed. Government and the Economy Discussion of externalities and how governments can compensate for them. Also the role of government in ensuring fair markets, enforcing property rights, enforcing contracts, regulation, etc. Governments provide â€Å"public goods†. 4: Government and the Economy II The bad side of government. Some good points but mostly stories that don't prove anything. Lots of glib platitudes, like the USPS is way mor e inefficient than UPS or Fed. Some interesting points about regulation and taxes. 5: Economics of InformationSome good points about adverse selection and issues with incentives. Discussion of the economic problems with health care. Good discussions of brands and profiling. 6: Productivity and Human Capital Good discussions of the importance of education and why talented people are paid more. Discussion of productivity, some confused parts. Discussion of income/wealth inequality. 7: Financial Markets Good but shallow discussion of financial markets. 8: The Power of Organized Interests 9: Keeping Score Good Joke on p. 149.Business cycle, growth, GAP. A bit about Keynes. Fiscal and monetary policy. 10: The Federal Reserve Reasonable discussion of the Fed, inflation, and deflation. 1 1: Trade and Globalization Reasonable but shallow discussion of trade, globalization, etc. He repeats conventional wisdom and doesn't get into any of the hard issues. Very weak discussion of comparative ad vantage, which is central. 12: Developmental Economics Generally good discussion of what it takes to develop a country. Epilogue: Life in 2050 Some good questions.

My Personal Experience My Experience In High School

When I first enrolled high school I was following the current I didn’t have a plan for college or understand what I was going to do with my life. I had a challenging background when it came to academics; my scores were always â€Å"alright† but were never enough for Advance Placement courses. I wanted to create a structured path that I could be proud of. I thought I wasn’t going anywhere in life until I challenged myself academically for a better future. This year was great for many reasons I made lots of friends, I became part of my schools basketball team, and passed my classes outstandingly but despite all this something was missing, I didn’t feel accomplished. There was a void inside of me and I didn’t know what it was.
